The spirit behind the mission
Jer Jr was a gifted jiu-jitsu black belt whose life showed what perseverance looks like. After a leukemia diagnosis, he kept fighting—with courage, discipline and heart. This foundation exists to keep that way of living in motion.

The Jer Jr Legacy Foundation honors Jeremy Stephen Montes Jr. by carrying forward the qualities he shared so freely: strength, compassion, courage, discipline and love for others in the jiu-jitsu, martial arts and athletic communities.
We believe access should never be the reason someone steps away from the mat. Through charitable support, education and mentorship, we help individuals and families move from “not possible” to “next round.”
